Annual NMC Pinktober Event

By admin Published: Dec 05, 2022

The 2022 NMC Pinktober event was again a great success with senior and junior members sharing the waves together in fun surfing divisions. Each year October’s Club Round is dedicated to raising funds for the Cindy Mackenzie Breast Cancer Program. This is a local Sunshine Coast charity based at Buderim Private Hospital that provides support to local breast cancer patients and their families. This valuable service receives no government funding and relies solely on community support and donations to enable vital care to be provided to Sunshine Coast residents. This is always such a fun day on the beach, with members dressing in pink to support breast cancer awareness and raise funds for this worthy charity. 'Winners' on the day were Old Mal - Kirra Molnar, Mixed Craft - Peppie Simpson, Soft Boards - Chris Kelly, Switch Foot - Glen Gower.

COVID-19 GRANT

By NMC-Prez Published: August 8, 2020

The Noosa Malibu Club applied for the Queensland Governments COVID-19 Infrastructure Grant in June 2020. This grant was established to help sporting clubs survive the restrictions to Club fund raising bought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Clubs application was successful and we were granted $2,000 to spend on improving Club equipment and/or facilities.

The Executive Committee has decided to spend the Grant on acquiring a portable Lithium Powerpack and solar panel, that will allow us to run and recharge the IT equipment and PA systems we require for our monthly competitions.
